How do I submit an idea?

Check if your idea, or something similar, already exists. If it does, please vote for it and add a comment - all feedback is fed through to the iSAMS product team. If satisfied your feature request doesn’t exist, please use the Submit Idea button to access the online form.

What happens to my idea?

Status: Awaiting

Awaiting Review

Your idea will initially be assigned a status of ‘Awaiting Review’. Internally, it will be assigned to the product team member responsible for that area of the system. They will review the idea and seek to understand if the request is feasible. Once reviewed, the status will be updated accordingly and you'll be notified via email.

Status: Discovery

Later In Discovery Good Feature

This status identifies ideas which we’re not currently working on but could embrace in the future. The ‘Later’ status is used to identify ideas which can’t be actioned immediately, but we have plans in that area which are still being formalised. ‘In Discovery’ identifies ideas which require further research, which we’re unable to commit to at present. ‘Good Feature’ is used to highlight ideas which we think are good, but we don’t have any plans to progress with at present.

Status: Next

Now Next

This status is for ideas which are part of already scheduled and/or potentially underway projects. The idea will be handled as part of that work and could be delivered in the near future. Our roadmap will likely contain further information about when you can expect the feature to be released.

Status: Released

Completed & Released

This status is for ideas which have been completed. Once released, the idea is closed and no longer visible on the portal.

Status: Closed

Workaround Identified Already Present Will Not Implement Need Additional Information

The use of any label from this status will result in the idea being closed and removed from the ideas portal. If it’s an idea that can’t be progressed or there’s an alternative, you will receive an explanation on why this is the case. The ideas portal is a tool we use to understand what direction our customers would like us to take our products. It also helps us understand the weight of opinion on certain features, especially the contentious ones. While not promising to act on everything we receive, we will review all ideas and fully assess their value.

What if I can't see a suitable category?

If you can't see a suitable category for your idea, please select the most appropriate option from the list available, and if required the product team will reassign.
