It appears that the ability for students to add their own comment or reflection to their report has not been included in the new Cloud Student Portal.
This is a feature we currently use in the existing Student Portal and it forms an important part of our reporting process. Student reflection encourages ownership of learning, supports meaningful engagement with reports, and allows students to contribute their own voice alongside teacher feedback.
At present, the absence of this feature is a blocker for us in moving fully to the new Cloud Student Portal. We would be reluctant to transition until there is a clear pathway for students to continue adding their own report comments.
This is crucial for our reporting. It's concerning that it appears that we have to move to the new portals by the end of August without having a solution for how our pupils will be able to complete their self-appraisals in the first report cycle of the new academic year. If there's no way to do this via their portal we'll need some mechanism for adding them manually on behalf of our pupils but this which would seem a massive step backwards.
This is exactly the issue for us too. The facility still exists in iSAMS for us to have templates for student reports, but if we migrate to the new portal then there is no way for students to use them. We will be staying on the legacy portal until this is resolved.
