It is essential within a gradebook, filtering is allowed especially on academic sets so that a teacher can only see relevant pupils for whom they need to enter grades.
The workaround of creating a gradebook for every set is time-consuming. Any change needs to be made in every set and the MASTER for the year doesn't pull through all the columns for the share, especially calculated columns which is where the logic lies.
Until this is fixed, use will be limited.
Curriculum Manager is being developed to act as a place to build and allocate Gradebooks by Set. You will be able to create a template for your Gradebook and then allocate that Template to groups of classes. Amendments can then be made to that master "template" the class has been allocated to.
