We are coming up against a problematic feature when it comes to rooms in iSAMS. We often have to swap timetabled classes around, but need to use the space we are moving one class from for another timetabled class to move into. This often occurs for specialised spaces such as halls. Currently when we ‘move’ a class iSAMS treats this as a room closure for the space being evacuated which means we are unable to move another class in. This causes lots of problems and means we cannot reflect things accurately in the system causing confusion for staff and pupils. It does not always follow that a space is being closed if a lesson is being moved.
