Establish a daily online register for boarders, as the school operates with flexi boarders.

Why is it useful?
Currently, we use paper registers to sign in our pupils in the evening and morning at boarding. These registers are printed from the system once pupils confirm their boarding status. They are then categorized, which generates a list. I would like to move this process online to avoid using printouts, while also maintaining an electronic record of the registers.

Who would benefit from it?
Primarily, the boarding staff would benefit, but it would also be advantageous for the whole staff body, particularly in terms of safeguarding our children.

How should it work?
Once pupils are marked for boarding that day, the system would generate a list. This list would be accessible for registration at 5pm in the evening, again at bedtime, and then in the morning during breakfast.

Thank you for your suggestion. Please would you give more detail on this? When do you find out which boarders are staying on which days? Is this a repeating pattern? Would it include all students or selected students? How do you manage your other registration sessions during the day?
