Allow fuzzy matching for potential duplicates detected in Admissions Portal
Currently potential duplicates are only detected if Forename, Surname and DOB match exactly with existing records. Would it be possible to use fuzzy matching to widen the criteria to account for spelling mistakes etc?
This would be incredibly useful and is a feature on other databases I have used previously. A merge wizard allows you to select two records you know are the same person and then select the fields you wish to keep from each record and then merge the two on those selections. If this could be implemented, it would be a game changer!
