Every time there is an iSAMS update the default iSAMS reports are added to the Custom Reports part of Student Manager, which means that we have 30 custom reports for teachers to choose from, which is far too many AND some of the reports have critical health information on students and should NOT be available here for all users to run, e.g."Student Data Sheet with medical Information".
Absolutely concur: we have custom versions of some reports so the fact that the standard ones reappear with every version update just adds confusion for our users.
A sort-of-related issue is that when iSAMS push out an updated version of a report with a slightly different name, the old one does not get removed from the file store. Particularly for the 'Pupil'/'Student' terminology: we have under Standard Reports for Student Manager:
Pupil ID Badge / Pupil ID Badge - Backup / Student ID Badge
Pupil Data Varification Sheet [sic] / iSAMS Pupil Data Varification Sheet [sic] / iSAMS Pupil Data Verification Sheet / ISAMS Student Data Verification Sheet
etc.
It is thus really difficult to tell what is the most recent version of a report. There is no option for schools themselves to remove redundant versions of reports; iSAMS should be keeping its house in order!
