I am told (by Ed:gen staff) that the Register Notes section is for information to give to the students and should be used sparingly. However, there needs to be a quick and efficient way to communicate to the staff member that a student leaving during a lesson is expected - such as for a music lesson. This is easily done in other MIS software but the only similar feature at present is the register notes, which are linked to the student until dismissed by a staff member to say we have communicated this to the student. These two ideas should be separated into separate features - those to communicate to students and those just for our information when ensuring correct registration of students.
